The Wiltja Secondary College provides quality teaching and learning programs to Anangu students willing and able to engage in mainstream schooling. Wiltja’s ambition is to fully develop each student’s academic and social potential.

Wiltja is committed to providing a supportive and educational residential environment where students are valued, and their learning and development is the priority.

Our vision is for Anangu students to confidently determine and control their future aspirations, provide positive input into the well-being and sustainability of their communities, and actively participate in the wider world.

Students attending Wiltja Secondary College come from a range of remote communities including the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands, Maralinga Lands (Yalata and Oak Valley) and some Northern Territory and Western Australian communities.

Wiltja students are enrolled from Year 8 to 10 at Woodville High School and Year 11 to 12 at Windsor Gardens. They attend both mainstream and Wiltja classes. Students board at the Wiltja residence at Lightsview where they also participate in an extensive health and recreation program.

‘Wiltja’ is the Pitjantjatjara word for ‘shelter’.
