Lydia Whiteside (Finance Manager, Burnside Primary School)
We are very proud of Simon here at WGSC!

Lee had a remarkable journey in 2014 Visual Art. He was a team player and was not afraid to try new and varied techniques with his work. Lee has been selected for the SACE Art Show in 2015. His work was of four photographs depicting a young man coming from confusion and depression and into the light of hope. Lee has a very cool demeanour and an excellent sense of humour. Lee was featured in The Advertiser and the Messenger in 2015.

Well done Lee!

Congratulations to Malik who won the prestigious South Australian Future Indigenous Leaders Award in the end of Term 4 in 2014. He was nominated for the award by the Aboriginal Education team for his commitment to school and future ambitions. Malik received a certificate as well as $500 to go towards his Year 12 studies. Wiltja student Maurice recently umpired a NAB AFL Auskick game in front of 50,000 people at half time of the Adelaide Crows, Port Power Showdown in 2014.

Maurice has completed an umpire training course with the SANFL and has participated in the coloured shirt program for beginner umpires and officials. He umpires junior football at Greenacres on Saturday mornings. Maurice was thrilled to get the opportunity to umpire at the new Adelaide Oval and we congratulate him on his efforts!
